Interview with Danni Tipping of Ripples Lindfield

Recently, we visited Ripples in Lindfield to catch up with Director Danii Tipping and her team, to find out first-hand how TruBlue is supporting their day-to-day operations. From quoting to managing projects, Ripples have been making full use of the platform - and Danii was kind enough to share her thoughts on why she would recommend TruBlue to fellow bathroom retailers.
Ripples in Lindfield is a stunning bathroom showroom set within a beautifully renovated period building in the heart of this leafy Sussex village. The setting alone makes a visit worthwhile, but what really caught our attention was how seamlessly the Ripples team have embraced TruBlue in their day-to-day work.
Tell us about Ripples Lindfield
Danii: Our showroom is based in Lindfield and we've been open since November 2023. In that time, we've won, KBB Focus New Retailer of the Year Award in 2024. And then I also won the ripples in House Award, which was the Colin Payne Achievement Award as well, which was might be my favourite award actually. And then we also won the KBB Review New Bathroom Retailer of the year in 2025 in Blackpool too.
Tell us about the brands you work with at Ripples
Danii: As a Ripples, we, have access to some really amazing premium brands, which is what drew me in to be a franchisee in the first place. We work with some incredible brands like Axor and Graff and Betty, also Drench showers, the shower lab, We work with so many amazing suppliers that have just been tried and tested over a really long time.
What are your service levels like at Ripples Lindfield?
Danii: I would say that with our service levels, we always aim for exemplary, with no exception if possible. In the bathroom industry things can go wrong, but we pride ourselves on the fact that we know that if anything does go wrong, we can absolutely fix it and go beyond our customers expectations.
What is the best thing about being in KBB Retail?
Danii: I just love bathrooms. I love the creativity of it. I get up every day for work, and it doesn't feel like coming to work. I have a lovely little team, my showroom, which is my husband and our designer Carrie, who is basically family now as well. And, you know, coming to work is just so enjoyable. We love creating spaces for clients that they never could have imagined. I love presenting a design to a client and just seeing that wow factor spread across their face, and, you know, they don't wanna change anything. It's just what they wanted, and that is so rewarding. And then of course, the final part where you go and visit your completed bathroom, seeing how sometimes that can actually change people's lives. And, that I just love. That is the best thing and the bathroom industry is just a bit wacky and crazy. It's full of amazing people; there's no other industry like it. I love it. The people that we work with customers, competitors, my fellow franchisees. It's all about the people in the bathroom industry. And that's what I actually love the most.
How long have you been using TruBlue at Ripples Lindfield?
Danii: We've been using True Blue for just under a year now, and we, we love it. We find it really easy to use. It's the financial side of it is actually fantastic for what we get. It's such a premium product, and it's not even at a premium price at all. So we really, really get behind it, and we think it's so easy to use. I think anybody could use it even if you're beginner in the industry, or you've been using another system for really really, really long time. The transition from another system to true blue is so easy.
What were you using before TruBlue?
Danii: Before we were using TruBlue, we were using a system that I considered a little bit outdated and maybe couldn’t quite keep up with how I like to work. The financial cost was also a factor. Being a business in our infancy, keeping overheads down was really important, and TruBlue has been phenomenal in terms of value for what we get out of it. That was partly what influenced me to begin with, but also Trish completely influenced me. She’s so passionate about the product and the people behind it that I just felt totally compelled to give it a go.
What is your most used TruBlue feature?
Danii: At the moment, we’re using TruBlue predominantly for quoting, invoicing, order acknowledgements, booking in purchase orders — all those everyday necessities we rely on. We also use it heavily as a CRM system, logging customer contacts and managing that data. There’s so much the software can do that it’s actually difficult to say which feature we use the most.
Which features in TruBlue save you the most time?
Danii: Once you have your own processes in place and figure out how you want to use it, the software is so quick and slick. You can tailor it to suit your needs — it’s very personal and adaptable in that way. Everything runs smoothly, and because it’s all so efficient, it really saves time. It’s great.
What is it like working with TruBlue?
Danii: We really like working with TruBlue. We love the story behind the company - how it came together and the passion that drives it. There’s already so much the software offers, and we know there’s even more to come, all designed to genuinely help businesses like ours. That kind of commitment is rare, and it’s why we really enjoy working with TruBlue. It’s a brilliant product.
Danii: We really like working with True Blue. We love True Blue Story. We love the origin of them, how they came together. We love the fact that we know there's so much coming, and there's already so much there. But we know that there's so much coming, and it's all being geared up towards helping us. There's a genuine want to help businesses, and I don't think you get that very often, It's just, it's a brilliant product.
Can you give us some examples of excellent service you have received from the TruBlue team?
Danii: Tom was great - we must have been on a Teams call with him for nearly two hours when it was only supposed to last an hour. We just kept chatting, including about KBV in Birmingham at the time, as he’d been there too.
What really stood out was how patient he was, letting us ask questions without ever making us feel silly or that something was too obvious. We never felt like we couldn’t ask anything. And we know we can just call anytime for help - no one on the other end of the phone ever makes you feel like a burden. That’s so important, especially for a business in its early stages, still learning so much. Having that kind of support on tap is priceless.
Right from the very beginning, when Trish did a demo for me, I really appreciated how in-depth she went to show what the software was capable of. Her passion just shines through. Even later, when I was transferring over to TruBlue, Michelle was on the phone helping me. I had to reschedule a couple of times because things got busy, but she was completely understanding, really helpful, and even took the time for a nice chat.
TruBlue is full of genuinely lovely people who truly want to help you - and that makes all the difference.
Would you recommend TruBlue?
Danii: I think if a business in its infancy wants to start out with a full CRM system, TruBlue is definitely the place to begin. You can pull out so much data and refine it with very detailed filters, really dissecting anything you need. When you’re starting out, that’s a huge help for forward planning, analysing past trends, and shaping the way you grow — exactly what we’re doing now.
